How do I reserve an ambulette?
To schedule an ambulette pick-up, please fill out our contact form or call us at (330)
784-7388. Please remember to gather your origin and destination addresses and
phone numbers before calling us.

When should I call to reserve an ambulette?
Of course it is best that you schedule your ambulette as soon as you know you will
require one, however, Buckeye Transport operators are available 24-hours a day, 7
days a week, including holidays to reserve, schedule, and confirm your travel plans.

Our operators will work with you and make every effort to serve your need up to 30
minutes before pick-up.

What are your days and hours of service?
Buckeye Transport Service is available to service all your transportation and ambulette
needs 24-hours a day, 7 days a week, including holidays.

Buckeye Transport Service offers "Carry-Down Service," what does that mean?
We specialize in carry down service, and we will get you down those stairs with
dignity, and respect.

What is the service area?
While Buckeye Transport Service specializes in service
throughout the greater Akron  area, we can accommodate our
clients anywhere they need to go… state wide.

Can my caregiver accompany me in one of your vans?
A caregiver, a personal care attendant or family member can
accompany you on your ambulette trip at no cost.

How do I cancel my ambulette?
Just call us at (330) 784-7388! The minimum notice required is two hours.

I do not own a wheelchair, however I require one at this time, what do I do?
We will gladly provide you with a wheelchair, just let our operator know.

I own an extra-wide wheelchair, can your ambulette accommodate me?
Absolutely! Buckeye Transport Service is able to handle a variety of specialized
equipment and wheelchairs, just let one of our operators know about your special
needs.

How far in advance should a trip be scheduled?
As soon as the individual/ordering facility has complete trip information. We will make
every attempt to provide last minute transportation, and usually same day trips can be
accommodated. Trips can be scheduled up to a year in advance.

Does Buckeye Transport Service accept major credit cards for transportation
services?
For the convenience of our clients, we accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express,
Discover and cash.

What type of Insurance do you accept?
We are a medicaid provider.  We accept most private insurance.   We will work with
your insurance company to help determine eligibility.  Just call our office and our
operators will be happy to assist you.
